Jordan and I both graduate this semester! WAHOO!
I seriously could not be more excited!
This is the first semester in a LONG time that I can truly say that I enjoy and look forward to ALL my classes. So because of this, it actually makes graduating and becoming real adults a little bitter sweet. (In my mind being married and having a baby does not make you a real adult, a real job does. haha) I am really going to miss school. I LOVE learning. I love reading for class, well most of the time, I love the discussions that we have in class, I love being able to always run into friends around campus. And hey I am really smart and I love when I am able to use and challenge my mind. But my 4 years are up and it is time to move on and grow up.
But what I love even more than being a student is being Momma to my little cutie pie. It is incredible the amount of love one can have for such a little person. Madilyn is such a good little baby. She comes to campus with Jordan and I everyday and is such a trooper. Some days are a little harder then others, and I am so looking forward to being able to stay home with her everyday. She has been sleeping through the night for about a month now, and it is just about the best thing ever. She was always easy in the night, just waking up a time or two to eat and going right back to sleep, but nothing beats interrupted sleep! She goes down around 8pm and sleeps until she hears us get up in the morning whenever that is. She is so happy and smily for whoever goes into her room to get. She eats, plays with one of us for about a half hour then is out again for another 3 hours.
She is seriously so cute. She recently discovered her tongue and lips and is constantly making funny noises when she is awake.
Jordan and I are very lucky to have a school schedule where we are never in class at the same time. That way one of us is always with Madilyn and get lots of Daddy and Momma time.
What I love most about being a mom is watching Jordan and Madilyn play together. He is so in love with her and such a good dad. I seriously ONLY CHANGE 10% OF THE DIAPERS! yeah, he is THAT good. He is so loving to both of us. He also always takes her if she is fussy in church or wherever we may be. There is something so special about seeing your husband become a father.
This month Jordan went to a construction competition in Reno, while he was there he was able to interview with two major companies, and both have contacted him since asking him further in the interviewing process. He is traveling to Phoenix in march for a second interview with one company. That is now 3 potential employers. I am so proud of him. He has worked so hard in college, and is actually graduating an entire semester early. He has been able to balance being married, having a horribly sick pregnant wife, then a new baby, and be a full time student and work. Plus always leave time for plenty of racquetball and movie watching.
I am so glad Jordan suggested I start a blog, since my journaling has slacked, and having my own blog would be more productive then just read others.
The 4 pictures I added are all when when she was 2 weeks old or younger. We have PLENTY of current ones but they are all on our other macbook. I'll have to steal it away from Jordan sometime soon and upload all her cuteness.
