Wide load

I'm sure my 6 readers are dying to know all about this three kid stroller we drove 2 hours for.
Ain't she beautiful?
After a little haggling and a crisp Benjamin she was mine.
The baby jogger triple retails, or did when it was still manufactured for $1100, so it's a sweet deal in my book. I do still wish we had found one with front swivel wheels but this seems to still work. Just an extra arm work out.

Jordan and I have plans to run the Great Smoky Mountian Half in September. It's a mainly uphill trail course. I am kinda guessing that if I can run with this in our very slightly hilly neighborhood then those hills should feel like cake. Or at least not like I just trained on a flat road.
I'll let you know just how dumb of an assumption this is in September.

Here is how the weight breaks down.

Stroller 55lbs + madilyn 31lbs + Bo 28lbs + Tucker 19lbs = 133 POUNDS!!

Plus there is an extra five to ten pounds of stuff to keep them entertained for our very super slow 4 to 6 miles.

My summer running plan is to wake the kids up super early and put them in and hopefully they will sleep/rest or eat breakfast. For myself I know that running in the summer time too late in the morning leads to a cranky dehydrated mom for the rest of the day. I sincerely hope my plan works out.

I'm also following the Hanson half marathon plan if anyone cares.

Jordan's plan includes not really training so that he doesn't beat me by too much. This will be his second untrained for half, he was top five I believe in the first one.

Above madilyn demonstrate how I feel about that fact.

And just a little bonus of Tucker not being the favorite during a little post run relaxing

Brunching with Bo

If Bo is wearing footie pajamas or even a onesie there is a 108% chance he is hoarding something in it.
One time at church he stood up on the chair, yes chair not pew we don't arrive in time for pew privileges, and no less than 14 screws fell out of his pant leg. He was ecstatic with his smuggling job.

Breakfast often looks a little something like this.
Tracie: Bo where's your spoon?
Bo:
Tracie: where is it?
Bo: looks under table  looking completely confused-hand death gripping his leg
Tracie:
Madilyn: Open your jammies
Bo:

Old Friends Make the Best Friends-According to my Fortune cookie

So we loved Idaho, make no mistake of that, and maybe one day I'll most likely maybe not write it all out.  But for as much good as there was, it was hard.  One thing that was really hard was that I was lonely.  BooHOO I know, not a huge deal and if that is my biggest ordeal then life is pretty peachy.  Well... it was still hard. People there were super nice just busy with their families and the school.

So Jordan was probably pretty tired of hearing me talk about it and got down to business. And by that I mean that he took a fast Sunday to pray for me and my wo's. Which were also his since I pretty much let him know how I'm feeling all the time.
And me, I got a fortune cookie that said, " old friends make the best friends" and held on to that little bit of wisdom.

One of us is a little more bound for the promise land.

Low and behold we move back to South Carolina. My friend Kara from HS/BYU is here for the summer with her family ( she has 3 kids 4 and under, we are a site to see together at the park) She is the one who really helped me get involved in the church, I took all the discussions with her family and her brother baptized me. I really love her and her whole family. And one day I'll learn to cook like her mom, or so Jordan hopes. That's old friend number one.

Number two is a roommate from college and great friend who lives in Atlanta, also with, almost, 3 kids. We got together a couple times last time we lived here and really looking forward to it again. She is a great mom, and amazing example to me.

NĂºmero  three is an old friend from our ward at BYUI. Esther is a power house of a saint that comes from an even more amazing family. She lives on the coast with her husband who is in school. She is pregnant with her first and I am 100% sure she is already a better mother than me.
So old friends -check
Best friends - you bet my furtune cookie I'm going to try.
Luckily for two they are in different area code so they only have to put up with my over bearing friendship sometimes.

I guess all I can say is I'm grateful for my faithful husband and Chinese take out.

Babies stay babies

If babies stayed 5 months forever, I'd have 17.

But I heard they turn into this.
Which is 120 times more exhausting.

But sometimes they do things like this.

Or this.

So maybe we will have 17 after all, because really.

Off Season beachin

When we decied to move back to South Carolina we told madilyn all about the beach and how we would go as often as possible, well the girl is an elephant and never forgets. For the past 6 weeks or so she's let us know just how good a build sand castles she is. She has no experience.
I've been looking for a 3 seat jogging stroller for awhile now (seriously hard to find) and finally found a not $400 one by Folly Beach. So a day trippin we went.

Emily is in town which made the trip even more fun since she had never been to Charleston. And also way easier. So really win win.

We put our feet in the Atlantic, haggled the price down for the stroller, ate delishious fish tacos, and walked down King Steet. A very successful 8 hours indeed.

It made me super excited for our trips this summer when bathing suits and sun screen will be involved.
